By accessing or using the wedding planning services provided by Duva ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Duva provides a wedding planning platform for guest management, ceremony planning, RSVP invitations, and wedding websites.
To access our services, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not use our services to:
Duva lets you send SMS text messages, WhatsApp messages, and emails to your wedding guests. Because you control who is contacted, you are responsible for the legality of those communications. By uploading recipient information or sending messages, you represent, warrant, and agree that:
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Duva and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your messages, your recipient lists, your failure to obtain required consent, or your violation of any of the obligations in this Section or applicable law.
Suspension for abuse. We may suspend or limit your account or messaging at any time, with or without notice, if we suspect spam, lack of consent, or other abuse, or to protect recipients, our platform, or our messaging providers.
The core platform (wedding website, RSVP collection, and guest management) is provided free of charge. Sending messages through Duva — including RSVP invitations and automatic reminders, and custom broadcast messages such as day-of announcements you send to guests — requires a one-time messaging unlock, which includes an initial allotment of message credits. RSVP invitations and automatic reminders do not consume message credits; custom broadcast messages consume message credits, available via one-time purchases of additional credits. You agree to pay the fees associated with the messaging unlock and any credits you purchase, including any optional auto-refill purchases you enable. Card payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe-hosted checkout; we do not receive or store your full card number. We may change our fees at any time, but will provide notice of any fee changes in advance.
Registry & gift funds. Couples may enable a cash or honeymoon gift fund. Contributions are processed by Stripe Connect and settle directly to the couple's connected Stripe account; Duva does not hold, custody, or control contributed funds, and is not a party to the gift between a guest and a couple. To receive contributions, a couple must complete Stripe's onboarding and identity verification. A processing fee (covering Stripe's charges plus a small platform fee) is added to each contribution and shown to the guest before payment; contributions are processed in U.S. dollars. Contributions are non-refundable except at the couple's or Duva's discretion or as required by law, and are subject to Stripe's payment terms. Couples are responsible for any taxes on funds they receive; Stripe handles any applicable tax reporting (such as Form 1099-K) for the couple's connected account. Duva does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice.
Affiliate commissions on registry links. Couples may add registry links pointing to outside retailers. Where a retailer runs an affiliate program, Duva may receive a small commission on purchases a guest makes after following one of those links. This never changes the price a guest pays, never reduces what the couple receives, and never affects which retailers a couple may add — couples choose their own registries, and Duva does not favor, reorder, or recommend retailers based on commission. A disclosure to this effect is shown alongside the registry links on the couple's website. Duva is not a party to any purchase between a guest and a retailer, and is not responsible for the products, delivery, returns, or customer service of those retailers.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may permanently delete your organization and its associated data at any time from the dashboard settings (an irreversible action requiring confirmation), or by contacting us.
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of our services.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
