Multi-event RSVP

Multi-event wedding RSVP

A wedding is rarely one party anymore. Duva collects a separate RSVP for every event — welcome dinner, ceremony, reception, farewell brunch — so you always know exactly who is coming to what, from one dashboard.

One RSVP per eventInvite different guests to different eventsFree to start · 50 credits

A multi-event wedding RSVP lets each guest respond separately to each event on your schedule instead of giving one blanket yes-or-no. In Duva you keep one master guest list, assign each guest only to the events they are invited to, and every event — welcome dinner, ceremony, reception, brunch — collects and counts its own RSVPs. Guests reply by text, WhatsApp, or a name lookup on your wedding website, and your dashboard shows a live headcount for each event. It is free to set up, with 50 message credits included.

What is a multi-event wedding RSVP?

Modern weddings are a weekend, not an evening. There is often a welcome dinner on Friday, the ceremony and reception on Saturday, and a send-off brunch on Sunday — plus rehearsal dinners, after-parties, and pre-wedding gatherings in between. Each of those events usually has a different guest list and a different capacity, so a single "will you attend?" question does not work.

A multi-event RSVP treats every event as its own question. A guest invited to all three days can accept the welcome dinner, decline the brunch, and confirm the reception in a single flow. A guest invited only to the reception never even sees the other events. That gives you an accurate headcount for each meal, each venue, and each vendor — instead of guessing how many of your "yes" guests will actually show up to the Friday dinner.

  • Every event asks separately. Welcome dinner, ceremony, reception, brunch — each collects its own yes, no, or maybe.
  • Different guests, different events. The whole crowd for the reception, a smaller circle for the rehearsal dinner and brunch.
  • One master list. You manage a single guest list and assign each guest to the events they belong to.

Invite different guests to different events

The hardest part of a weekend wedding is that the guest lists overlap but never match. Two hundred people come to the reception, forty to the welcome dinner, sixty to the brunch — and plenty of guests appear on two of those lists but not the third. Managing that in a spreadsheet means color-coded columns and constant second-guessing.

Duva makes it a checkbox. When you add a guest, you tick which events they are invited to. From that moment, the guest only ever sees, is reminded about, and can RSVP to those events — and each event automatically knows its own invitee list. Change your mind and add someone to the brunch later, and their RSVP for that event opens up without touching anything else.

  • Assign per event. Check the events each guest is invited to; everything else follows from that.
  • Guests see only their events. Nobody is tempted to show up to an event they were not invited to.
  • Change invites anytime. Add or remove a guest from an event and their RSVP updates instantly.

How do you manage RSVPs for multiple wedding events?

You manage them from one dashboard that keeps a separate tally for each event. Every response — from a text reply, a WhatsApp message, or the website — flows into the same place, and Duva rolls it up into attending, pending, and declined counts per event. You never export three spreadsheets and reconcile them by hand.

Because the headcounts are independent, you can plan each part of the weekend on real numbers. Give the welcome-dinner restaurant a firm count without waiting on your reception RSVPs. Order brunch for the exact number of guests who said yes to Sunday, not for everyone who is coming Saturday. And when you need to chase stragglers, you can nudge only the guests who have not answered a specific event.

  • Live counts per event. Attending, pending, and declined totals for each event, updated the moment a guest replies.
  • Party & household RSVP. One guest can respond for their whole party per event — plus-ones and kids included.
  • Chase only non-responders. Send a reminder to the guests who have not answered one specific event, not the whole list.
  • Meals and details per event. Collect meal choices, dietary notes, or song requests scoped to the right event.

RSVPs by text, WhatsApp, or your website

Guests respond however is easiest for them, and Duva picks the channel automatically. US mobile numbers get an SMS with a one-tap RSVP link; international numbers get the same invitation over WhatsApp, the app most overseas guests already live in. Guests who would rather use the website can look up their name and RSVP there — no login, no account, no app to download.

Every response is verified by a one-time code sent to the guest’s phone, so the yeses on your dashboard are real people, not typos or duplicates. It is the difference between a clean headcount you can hand a caterer and a list you have to double-check by calling relatives.

  • SMS for US guests. A personalized text with a link to RSVP to each of their events.
  • WhatsApp for guests abroad. The same per-event RSVP delivered in the app international guests use daily.
  • Website name lookup. Guests can also find themselves on your site and RSVP without any messaging.

A website and schedule that keep up

Your free Duva wedding website builds a schedule straight from your events, so every guest sees an itinerary for exactly the events they are attending — with times, locations, and a dress code for each one, plus an add-to-calendar button so nothing gets missed. If a plan changes, you update it once and the site, the RSVP, and the headcount all move together.

On the day itself, you can broadcast an announcement to a single event — a shuttle time for the welcome dinner, a room change for the reception, a "brunch starts at 10" reminder — and only that event’s guests get it. Large weekends are no problem: Duva handles guest lists from a few dozen to 800 and beyond.

  • Auto-built schedule. Each event appears with its own time, venue, dress code, and add-to-calendar link.
  • Day-of announcements. Message one event’s guests instantly when a detail changes.
  • Directions per venue. Different locations across the weekend each get their own map and details.

What a multi-event RSVP with Duva costs

The website, the master guest list, and unlimited RSVP collection are free — there is no subscription and no per-guest fee, no matter how many events you run. You start with 50 message credits, which is enough to test invitations and reminders. After that, sending invites and reminders by text or WhatsApp is pay-as-you-go: you buy credit packs at $40, $99, or $165, they never expire, and each message uses one credit per recipient. Guests responding on the website costs nothing. You only pay when you actively message guests.

Frequently asked questions

Can guests RSVP to some events but not others?

Yes. That is the whole point of a multi-event RSVP. A guest invited to the welcome dinner, ceremony, and brunch can accept two and decline one in a single flow, and each event records its own answer independently.

How do I invite different guests to different events?

When you add a guest, you check which events they are invited to. From then on they only see and can RSVP to those events, and each event automatically maintains its own invitee list — no separate spreadsheets required.

Do I get a separate headcount for each event?

Yes. Your dashboard shows attending, pending, and declined totals for every event separately, so you can give the caterer for the welcome dinner a firm number without waiting on your reception RSVPs.

How do guests actually respond?

Duva sends a personalized RSVP link by SMS to US numbers and by WhatsApp to international numbers, and guests can also look up their name and respond on your wedding website. Every response is verified by a one-time code, so your counts are accurate.

Can one guest RSVP for their whole party?

Yes. A guest can respond for their entire party — partner, plus-one, and children — for each event, so you capture the full attendance in a single reply.

Can I send reminders for just one event?

Yes. You can send a reminder to only the guests who have not yet answered a specific event, rather than messaging your whole list, so nobody gets nagged about an event they already confirmed.

How much does it cost to run a multi-event RSVP?

The website, guest list, and RSVP collection are free with no subscription. You start with 50 message credits, then buy credit packs ($40, $99, or $165) that never expire; each message costs one credit per recipient. Website responses are free.
